It features a four disc set of the bands two night performance at Fenway Park in Boston from July 7 and 8, 2006. This marks the first ever release of the bands songs Cant Stop, Break Free, and The Idea of You, as well of the release of their first ever performance of Neil Diamonds Sweet Caroline, performed as a Fenway Park tradition. Due to an initial high demand for the album, Live Trax Vol. 6 is first volume in the series to be sold in stores in addition to the bands online store. The bands management expected demand for the album to be high in the Boston area, which prompted them to distribute the album to retailers. The release was extended nationwide in the USA and internationally, but in limited amounts where most retailers only kept a single copy stocked per store. This concert was recorded on August 23, 1995 at the Meadow Brook Music Festival at Oakland University in Rochester Hills, Michigan. The show is notable for a twelve minute version of Exodus, a rarity among the bands setlists. Also worth mentioning, Matthews dedicates his finale Dylans All Along the Watchtower to then recently deceased Grateful Dead guitarist Jerry Garcia. Garcia had passed just a few weeks before the concert was recorded.
